Food Drive
This is an on going food drive that supports local food pantries. Please drop off your non-perishable goods in the bins provided in the lobby.
Three Kings Project - Each year at Christmas Breakpoint Church ministers to those in our church and community that are having a difficult time. During the first three weeks of December our congregation purchases gift cards from local businesses and then we distribute them to make sure everyone has a great Christmas.
Mt Hope Camp - is a local ministry that helps women and children in need. Each August we fill backpacks with school supplies for the children as they head back to school.
NYC Relief Bus - Connecting People in Need with Help & Hope. New York City Relief (NYCR) exists to connect the poor, oppressed, and addicted with a path toward help and hope. Through outreach partnerships, we seek to be a bridge between human need and resources to meet those needs. These things we doÖthat others may live. The Hope Center in Elizabeth, NJ is the home and launching point for our compassionate outreach, including: The Relief Buses, Matthews House (an emergency food pantry), crisis and pastoral counseling, and unique urban churches that meet at The Hope Center. www.nycr.org
Women’s Health Resources - An Unplanned Pregnancy can raise many questions. Women’s Health resources help you get the answers you need. They offer many services that can inform you of your options and help you make an intelligent, informed decision. They offer free counseling and ultra sounds. www.options4women.com
Around the World
DaySpring Ministries - This ministry located in Chester NJ ministers with the people of the Light & Peace Missions in Haiti. Daysprings ministries supports an orphanage, Christian school, Widow’s ministry and several churches in and around Bon Repos, Haiti. Breakpoint Church supports two children, Stevenson Ilderice and Rosette Jean Luis from the Light and Peace Christian School with weekly tithes and offerings. Also individual families within Breakpoint Church sponsor children. Breakpoint Church also sponsors Sock and Underwear drives and a Thanksgiving Missions Offering for their Christmas and New Year’s Meals. Compassion International - Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults. Breakpoint Church sponsors Compassion Sunday every year so that interested families within the church can learn more and partner with Compassion. Breakpoint Church currently sponsors two children Guguloth Ganga from India and Emmanuel Dogbatsey from Ghana with weekly tithes and offerings. OTAN – OTAN stands for Outreach to Asia Nationals. They are a non-profit Christian Organization. OTAN exists to serve, train, equip, and empower national church workers in Asia to plant evangelistic, disciple-making, and reproducing churches among the different people groups. Breakpoint supports this ministry by supporting an individual missionary family and by supplying Bibles through donations during Vacation Bible School.
Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child - Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Since 1993, more than 61 million shoe boxes have been packed, shipped, and delivered across the globe. People of all ages can be involved in this simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ. Each October and November we ask each family within our congregation to fill two shoeboxes to be sent overseas for children in need. www.samaritanspurse.org
World Vision 30 Hour Famine - 30 Hour Famine is an international youth movement to fight hunger. It will bring your group closer together and to God, feed hungry children, and change our world forever. Students fast for thirty hours and raise funds to help feed and care for children around the world. By sacrificing and serving others, they are learning to think outside themselves and see the world as Christ sees it. www.30hourfamine.org
Smile Train - Smile Train is focused on solving a single problem: cleft lip and palate. Clefts are a major problem in developing countries where there are millions of children who are suffering with unrepaired clefts. Most cannot eat or speak properly. Aren’t allowed to attend school or hold a job. The good news is every single child with a cleft can be helped with surgery that costs as little as $250 and takes as little as 45 minutes. Breakpoint Children’s Church is currently collecting money every Sunday for surgeries.
2010 Mission Trips
July - New York City Relief Bus Pastor Drew will be taking Junior and Senior High students to Elizabeth NJ this summer to work with the New York City Relief Bus. Everyday they will take the relief bus into the center to serve the poor.
