Middle School Ministry
180 (for 6th – 8th grade)
We meet on Wednesday nights from 6-8 pm, beginning on June 29th. Our focus is on “Identity”. As middle school students, one of the greatest things we face is the need to discover our true identity. There are many concerns in a middle schoolers world. Who are my friends? What group do I belong to? Am I popular? What should I wear? Do I sound cool when I talk? All these things are bouncing around our heads as we try to discover who we really are and what’s truly important to us.
As Christians, we learn that our true Identity is in Jesus Christ. Who we are as Christians is more important than any of the other considerations. Our theme verses are Philippians 3:7-11 where Paul declares that “everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.” That’s my prayer and my vision for 180: That our students would gradually turn 180 degrees away from the worldly concerns of teenagers and instead choose to identify themselves with Jesus Christ.
Our students also participate in monthly activities, retreats, camps, mission trips and service projects. For more information please contact our Next Generations Pastor at drewtoucher@gmail.com.
