Pastor’s Blog
Dear Church Family and Friends,
It has been another great church year! The last Sunday of the year was Easter Sunday and we had the most people ever in attendance at Breakpoint Church, with 350 people on our campus!!!! God is growing our church both numerically and spiritually and for that I am thankful.
In January, we were able to purchase our building, and now Breakpoint Church has a permanent address and home. I want to thank each of you for giving so faithfully to “Committed to the Journey” so that we could make the purchase quickly. I also have to praise God for being so faithful to us and allowing it all to come together. For a church with no prior credit history to get a mortgage, much less a mortgage with the rate we got, was definitely a gift from God.
Other things that occurred this past year were the donation of televisions so our worship services could be watched outside the worship center. The foyer and upstairs bathrooms were completely redone and the outside got a facelift with a new paint job. Thanks to all who helped on all of these projects. Our church building is really looking great.
As far as attendance and finances at the church, they both continue to grow. We had our first year of giving that surpassed the $400,000.00 mark and attendance again increased by about 10%. We also have many people waiting for warm weather to be baptized.
Our Preschool, Children and Youth Ministries continue to grow and because of that we have hired Colleen Koeller to be our Director of Children’s Church. She has been a faithful volunteer and will now be on staff part-time to help with all areas of the Children’s Church Ministry.
On the Mission front, we have become more involved with Dayspring Haiti and the Relief Bus as well as supporting many ongoing missions. This upcoming year I hope many of you will participate in at least one mission project.
On May 15th we will have our “I love Breakpoint” picnic after the 10:45 service to fellowship as the Body of Christ and to reflect on His goodness to us as a church.
Numbers 6: 24-26
24 ‘May the LORD bless you
and protect you.
25 May the LORD smile on you
and be gracious to you.
26 May the LORD show you his favor
and give you his peace.’
Building His Kingdom together,
