Prayer Day 5

ReadJoshua 1:9, Joshua 10:12-14, Psalm 121:1-8
Have you ever faced a circumstance so big and so daunting that you felt like nothing could change it? Have you ever avoided asking God for the miraculous and unfathomable because you were afraid it couldn’t be done?
We’ve all been there. But time and time again, God comes through in big ways for His people. Human limitations confine us, but our God has no limits. 
Joshua in bold faith declared “Sun, stand still…” (Joshua 10:12). Joshua dared to command the sun, not because of his power, but because he knew the God of the universe was with him and was able to do anything. 
We serve an infinite God that can do anything we ask or imagine. And He wants us, like Joshua, to know how it feels to serve Him with a heart of absolute faith.

Celebrate

• What does Psalm 121 say about God’s character? Praise Him for these things.
• How have you seen God come through for you in the past? Thank God for His past faithfulness as you look forward to the future. 

Anticipate

• In what areas of your life do you need God to move in a big way? Listen to this song, and focus your heart on God’s ability to work in your circumstances.

 
Ask  

• Is there any area of your life where you’ve been afraid to ask for God’s help? Ask for forgiveness, and thank Him for the ability to start fresh every day. 
• What is one big thing you can ask God for today? Ask with bold faith, knowing that God is able.
